Create & Manage Accounts

 

Signing In

 

The registration process is pretty self explanatory. Just click sign up on the starting page and enter the respective data. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. By signing up to imthere4u you will automatically receive an imthere4u 4free subscription which can be upgraded to a paid subscription (4sure/4ever/4eternity) at any given point in time by clicking the subscription tab. For more information regarding the respective services see the passage imthere4u service overview. In order to enjoy imthere4u’s full capabilities we recommend setting up a paid subscription.    

 

4me-Account

 

The 4me-account is the account of the initial video sender. By signing up to imthere4u  – 4Fathers/4Mothers/4Others you will automatically be assigned a 4me-account (also known as administrator account). The 4me-account will grant you the complete set of rights regarding uploading content, starting dct’s (digital content threads), editing and deleting content as well as creating user 4u-accounts with a limited set of rights, the so called 4u-accounts. Note that you should never give away the password to your 4me-account. Merely create 4u-accounts for the intended receiver and hand over the log in data (4u-key and password), depending on the contact status, personally or automatically. This ensures that nobody is able to delete or alter your uploaded content because only you posses the necessary rights to do so. Communication on imthere4u among sender (4me-user) and receiver (4u-user) takes place through uploaded content, respective replies and the portal own messaging feature.  

 

4u-Account

 

The 4u-account is the account of the intended video receiver created by the 4me-user specifically for him. The 4u-account enables the 4u-user to view the content (videos/pictures/virtual diaries) made available to him by the 4me-user. The 4u-account also allows the 4u-user to reply directly to uploaded content or to start new dct’s (digital content threads). Communication on imthere4u among sender (4me-user) and receiver (4u-user) takes place through uploaded content, respective replies and the portal own messaging feature. 4u-accounts can only be created by the 4me-user because only the 4me-user possesses the necessary rights to do so. Please do not forget that 4me-users share their cloud space with their 4u-users, hence replies of 4u-users will diminish the cloud space of the respective 4me-user.       

 

4u-key Management

 

Within the main menu you can generate new keys or edit existing ones by clicking 4u-key management. We suggest that the 4u-key corresponds with the name of the intended video receiver. The 4u-key is the equivalent of a user name and serves as part of the login data for the 4u-user. Therefore, the 4u-key has to be unique, meaning it can only exist once. Thus, it is possible that the name of the 4u-user may only be used as 4u-key in combination with a distinctive feature (e.g. John123). Through the first name field, you may assign the actual name to the respective 4u-account without any additions. The system will address the 4u-user with the assigned name as well as show commentaries using the provided name. After the 4u-key has been generated the 4u-account also requires a password. Please use a combination of letters and digits for your own protection. 4u-key and password created here, serve as login data for the 4u-account of the 4u-user you intend to share your content with. After the password has been confirmed once more, a valid email address of the intended 4u-user has to be entered into the next field (if the 4u-user does not possess a valid email address, please enter your own email address and forward the login data personally). This process ends by clicking “Generate”. Subsequently, an email will be sent to the 4u-user containing an 4u-account activation link. The activation email notifies the 4u-user that a 4u-account has been created for him on imthere4u. The email will also contain the 4u-key (user name) and password, generated for by the 4me-user.  To conclude the registration and activation process the 4u-user has to simply click the activation link contained in said email. The 4u-user will now be able to log into his 4u-account using his login data and thus will have access to his 4u-account and the respective shared content of the 4me-user.

A prerequisite for setting up a 4u-account for a 4u-user via the 4u-key management feature is the knowledge of the email address of the intended video recipient. If the 4u-user does not possess a valid email address, please either enter your own email address or set up an email account for him at one of the prevalent email service providers. Either way, you then would have to forward the login data personally.

If you find yourself in a situation where you don’t have contact with the intended video receiver, you are in need of a paid imthere4u 4sure or imthere4u 4ever subscription which will enable you to tag your videos and therefore allow your videos to be found by the intended video receiver (for more information on this topic see the paragraph Security Levels (Matching Process)).  Find out which subscription fits your needs the best by also checking out Subscription Overview as well as imthere4u Service Overview Subscriptions.

As a 4me-user you are able to set up as many 4u-accounts as you see fit. But please do not forget that since you share your cloud space with your 4u-users, content uploaded by your 4u-users will diminish your cloud space. 

 

Existing Keys:

The right hand side will provide you with a list of your existing keys. Click on a 4u-key to go to the page “Edit Keys” where you find the two options Edit 4u-key or Delete 4u-key.  

 

Edit 4u-key:

Here you can change current 4u-key data in case you have to renew e.g. first name, password or the email address. Just enter the desired changes and click on accept changes. Please note that the 4u-key cannot be changed, since it hast to be unique. If you don’t want to use a specific 4u-key any longer, you may delete it in the following manner.

 

Note: If you opt to change the 4u-user password, please do not forget to notify your 4u-user, through the imthere4u messenger system or email, PRIOR to changing it or the user will not be able to login to his 4u-account.  

 

Delete 4u-key:

Here you can delete a 4u-account of your choosing. Please note, that all content uploaded with this 4u-account (videos, pictures, virtual diaries, messages) will be deleted as well. To delete the 4u-account, just click delete 4u-key and confirm deletion.

 

Activities

Activities are selected menu points which are accessible via the starting page. The starting page can be reached directly after logging in, or while in the main menu, through the drop down menu via the tab main menu/starting page.

 

New Videos:

Notifies 4me-user/4u-user if a new video has been made available to him since the last login.  

Upload Videos:

Here you can directly access the video upload page in order to upload and/or share videos.

New Pictures:

Notifies 4me-user/4u-user if a new picture has been made available to him since the last login.  

Upload Pictures:

Here you can directly access the picture upload page in order to upload and/or share pictures.

New Messages:

Quick view of your newly received messages.

New Contact Request:

As 4me-user of an imthere4u 4ever/imthere4u 4sure subscription you are notified instantly if a person found your videos through our video search and has send you a contact request. 

New Commentaries:

Quick view of commentaries posted underneath your shared videos.

New Virtual Diary Entry:

Notifies 4me-user/4u-user if a new virtual diary has been made available to him since the last login.  

 

Lost Password

In case you have lost your password, you may generate a new one on the login page. Just hover over the info Icon ( ) right next to log in field and click the orange highlighted here within the pop up text “Forgot your password? Set a new one here”. Subsequently you will then be directed to the Lost your Password page where you simply have to follow the instructions provided (enter user name and email address and answer the security question). Confirm your entry by clicking on “request a new password”. Thereupon you will receive an email containing a link. After clicking the link you will have the possibility of entering a new password. Confirm the password by entering it once more in order to use the new password.

 

 

Security

 

Security Levels (Matching Process)

 

Security levels become important if video sender and video receiver are not in contact and therefore contact has to be established through the imthere4u matching process. Security levels are an essential part of the matching process to prevent unintentional contact while also safeguarding the anonymity of the video sender. Before the system forwards a contact request, personalized data of the person sought after and the person searching are compared and matched. The following will explain the process in greater detail. During the upload process, videos are equipped with 4 personalized tags, an identity check and a security question.

 

1.Tags are

on imthere4u 4 Fathers a. imthere4u 4 Mothers:

 

- The first 3 letters of the first name of the child

- The first 3 letters of the last name of the child

- Birthday of the child

- Birthplace of the child

 

 

on imthere4u 4Others:

 

- The first 3 letters of the first name of the intended video receiver

- The first 3 letters of the last name of the intended video receiver

 

2. After tags are positively matched the child/intended video receiver is being notified that X videos are stored for him on imthere4u. Subsequently two so called identity checks have to be entered correctly

on imthere4u 4Fathers a. imthere4u 4Mothers:

 

- Maiden name (last name) of the mother

- Last name of the father

 

 

on imthere4u 4Others:

 

The identity check is not part of matching process on imthere4u 4Others and is therefore inapplicable

 

3. In order to complete the matching process the intended video receiver has to answer a security question in order to prove the identity of both parties. During the video upload process the video sender has to enter a question of which he can be sure only the intended video receiver knows the answer to.

 

Depending on the relationship to the intended video receiver, you should articulate your question in a manner that A, the intended video receiver can answer the question and B, it is not easy for any arbitrary person to answer the question. In order to make it easier for the intended receiver one can place hints at the end of the question in brackets (there are no format requirements in place which would prohibit such an undertaking).

Note: The kind of question one enters is completely up to the video sender. By making the security question easy or hard to answer, the video sender is able to control the level of security of his own 4me-account and therefore greatly influences the discoverability of himself and his content. One has to take these aspects into consideration when deciding upon which security question to ask. (Videos can only be found through the imthere4u own video search function. Videos uploaded to imthere4u are not public and therefore cannot be found by public search engines (e.g. google, yahoo etc.)

 

Of course, any question needs an answer and so does the security question. The video sender has to pre-answer the security question in order to complete the security question step of the matching process. We recommend a question which can be answered with just one word in order to not make it unnecessarily hard for the intended video receiver.

 

Note: Be very cautious of the correct spelling while entering the security questions answer into the respective entry field. The intended video receiver has to enter the answer to the security question in the exact same manner it was pre-answered by the video sender.

 

If all security levels are completed successfully, the intended video receiver has to enter his email address, so that the video sender (4me-user) can set up a 4u-account including 4u-key and password for the intended video receiver (the email address is necessary in order to forward the log in data to the video receiver). As soon as the video receiver is in possession of the 4u-key and password, he has access to his own 4u-account. With the 4u-account he can view content shared with him by the 4me-user and in return share content with the 4me-user. For more information on this subject, please see 4me-account and 4u-account.

 

Note: When contact is established through the matching process, the intended video receiver has to enter a valid email address before sending out a contact request. The email address of the intended video receiver is merely stored by the system to provide for a successful delivery of the 4u-account log in data. At no point in time is it possible for the video sender (4me-user) to gain access to the email address of the intended video receiver (child/family member). This is a precaution measure to protect e.g. minors from being contacted through any other format than imthere4u. After a contact request is sent by the intended video user, the video sender (4me-user) is prompted to create a 4u-account for him. The video sender has to merely create 4u-key, password and provide a first name. After clicking “Generate” the 4u-account will be set up automatically and the log in data will be sent to the email provided by the intended video receiver during the matching process.  

 

Please further note, that in order to protect minors/children the data of any successful contact is saved and documented by our system (it will not be disclosed to a third party). We want to clearly state that e.g. deliberate contacting of unfamiliar children in any way, shape or form, any harassment imthere4u gains knowledge of, will be forwarded to the appropriate public authorities and the respective account will be blocked. Furthermore, the responsible authority can rely on imthere4u to provide full support of clarify arising claims.     

 

Protection of imthere4u video sender and video receiver

 

Since protection of video receivers (mostly minors) is of the utmost importance to imthere4u, all video receivers, besides being protected by the previously mentioned security levels, are warned by various “disclaimer” before establishing contact with a person over the internet:

 

Note:

Please take the following into consideration. Contacting people on the internet can be dangerous. We strongly advise against any meetings in person without a legal guardian. Furthermore we strongly advice against any exchange of private contact information (address, email address and phone number) without the consent of a legal guardian. The email address provided during the video search will not be disclosed to anyone. It is merely saved within our system so imthere4u can act as an intermediary to ensure safe communication via imthere4u without both parties having knowledge of each other’s private contact information.

 

Before you are not able to verify the identity of the father/mother who intends to establish contact, we strongly advice you (the child/minor) to only communicate via imthere4u.

Imthere4u clearly warns of the dangers of contacting persons over the internet and is not liable or cannot be made responsible for any consequences resulting of such actions. Getting in contact with otherimthere4u users occurs at one’s one risk.  

 

Please also note, that in order to further protect the intended video receiver, under no circumstances is it possible to contact children on imthere4u, neither deliberately nor accidently. There are no public profiles or any other means of contacting children directly. On imthere4u the intended receiver (e.g. child/friend) searches on his own accord by entering certain search tags to see if a video sender (e.g. father/mother/friend) has uploaded a video for him.

 

After a positive search tag match, identity query and correct answer of the security question it should be possible to unambiguously pinpoint the sought after person. At no point in time will contact data of the seeker (intended video receiver) be disclosed. The data (email address) is saved by the system but not disclosed to the video sender in order to enable the creation of a 4u-account and the necessary 4u-key exchange (for more information on this subject, please see Security Levels (Matching Process). Hence, we can ensure communication to be conducted solely via imthere4u.

 

In addition, videos can only be found if the video senders’ credit card information is deposited at our payment provider service (Ingenico) and our merchant processing service (Elavon). This further enables us to verify the identity of the video sender in case of unfair and unlawful use of the imthere4u service. For more information regarding this subject, please see our Data Privacy und General Terms and Conditions. Protecting the intended video receivers (in particular minors) is of utmost importance to imthere4u. Therefore personal data in form of credit card information is gathered only for the purpose of billing and identification in case of unlawful use of the imthere4u services. Personal data will not be disclosed to unrelated third parties. If the uploaded content breaches public morality in its manner of use (in particular in regards to minors) or infringes personal rights we advice the 4u-user to either contact us through our Contact Form or send us an email at contact@imthere4u.com.

Upload

 

Uploading content (Videos, Pictures, MVD’s)

 

Communicating through uploaded content if there is no other way possible, allowing loved ones to partake in your life by sharing moments via videos, photos and virtual diaries is what imthere4u is about and intends to help with. After successful log-in you can upload your content by firstly clicking the tab Main Menu, then go to My Videos /-Pictures/-Virtual Diary and subsequently, by clicking upload video-/picture or create diary respectively.

Uploading videos

Click „browse”, select the respective file from your computer, click “upload file” and confirm our General Terms and Conditions by checking the box.

 

Subsequently the “video edit” page appears on which the previously mentioned tags, identity check and security question can be entered (for more information on this subject, please see Security Levels (Matching Process), you can title the video, assign a folder, choose a 4u-key (receiver), as well as choose a release date to influence at which point in time the video will be made available (this feature is not available with the imthere4u 4Free subscription). You may also upload your video as a direct answer to an already existing video. By using this feature the text “this video is an answer to the video title” will be added to your uploaded video. By clicking directly on the video title the receiver may easily look at the video without having to search for it. Last but not least, there is a possibility to write down your thoughts of the video, a personal message or whatever comes to mind. By clicking “save file”, the video will be uploaded into your imthere4u archive and will be available for the intended receiver. After a video has been uploaded and authorization to share has been granted (by choosing the respective 4u-key), the receiver will be notified by email that a new video has been uploaded for him.

 

Uploading pictures:

After clicking on “Upload Pictures” you can give your picture a title (strongly recommend, facilitates inserting pictures into My Virtual Diary), assign a folder or create a new one as well as assign a 4u-key (receiver). Subsequently click on “browse”, select the respective file, click on “upload file” and confirm our general terms and conditions by checking the box. After a picture has been uploaded and permission to share has been granted (by choosing the respective 4u-key), the receiver will be notified by email that a new picture has been uploaded for him.

 

Note: In order to upload multiple files, simply select the desired files by pressing the ctrl key + click the files you want to upload or just select multiple files with your mouse. When you decide to upload multiple files, the pictures will be numbered consecutively. Picture titles can be changed by going to your “Picture Archive” selecting the desired picture by clicking it and choosing “edit” in the lower left corner of the picture. 

 

Uploading Virtual Diaries:

Under “My Virtual Diary” click “Create Virtual Diary“, give the diary a title and just start writing. For now, pictures can only be inserted into your virtual diary from your picture archive (they have to be uploaded into your My Pictures Archive). Pictures can be

 

a) easily pasted into your story/memories/text through the picture icon found in the tool bar on the far right hand side.

b) by using “insert” in the menu bar of the text editor

 

Pasted pictures may be scaled according to your requirements at any time.

 

Insert pictures into the virtual diary:

 

After choosing one of the two options to insert a picture, a box appears where you can select the picture you want to insert. Merely choose the picture you wish to insert. The picture will appear at the location of the courser in the text. After the picture has been inserted the picture size may be changed according to your requirements at any given time.

 

The virtual diary knows no end. You can write as much and paste as many pictures into one post as you like. After publishing the diary will be displayed as sort of a “mini-blog”. Similar to the video and picture upload there is a possibility to assign folders and choose 4u-keys (receiver). By clicking “Publish Diary”, the diary is uploaded into your imthere4u archive and made available for the intended 4u-user (receiver). After a virtual diary has been uploaded and permission to share has been granted (by choosing the respective 4u-key), the receiver will be notified by email that a new virtual diary has been uploaded for him.

 

Editing Content (Videos, Pictures, MVD)

 

You can reach the respective editing mode through two options.

 

Reach the editing mode through Video-/Picture-/My Virtual Diary Archive and subsequently select the editable content by clicking the respective video, picture and virtual diary.

 

Editing Videos:

 

You are now on the video detail page on which you can either edit or delete your video. Clicking “edit video” will forward you to the “video edit” page where you can enter/change the previously mentioned tags, identity check and security question can be entered (for more information on this subject, please see Security Levels (Matching Process), you can title the video, assign a folder, choose a 4u-key (receiver), as well as choose a release date to influence at which point in time the video will be made available (this feature is not available with the imthere4u 4Free subscription). You may also upload your video as a direct answer to an already existing video. By using this feature the text “this video is an answer to the video title” will be added to your uploaded video. By clicking directly on the video title the receiver may easily look at the video without having to search for it. Last but not least, there is a possibility to write down your thoughts of the video, a personal message or whatever comes to mind (the video receiver will be notified via the activities menu on the home screen, if a commentary is added to a video). By clicking “save file”, the video will be uploaded into your imthere4u archive and will be available for the intended receiver.

 

Delete any video by choosing delete video on the video detail page. Just click “Yes” and confirm that you want to delete the respective entry.

 

Note: Videos can also be edited during the upload process. For more information on this subject, please see Uploading content (Videos, Pictures, MVD’s).

 

Editing Pictures:

 

The picture is now in display mode. In the lower right corner you may edit the picture. In the edit mode you can change the pictures’ title/give your picture a title (strongly recommend, facilitates inserting pictures into My Virtual Diary), assign a folder/to a new folder or create a new one as well as (re-)assign a 4u-key (receiver). Subsequently click on “safe file” to safe the changes. If a new 4u-key has been assigned, the respective receiver will be notified by email that a new picture has been made available for him.

 

Furthermore, you have the possibility of deleting the respective picture when in editing mode. Merely click “delete” and confirm deletion by clicking “yes” again and the respective picture will be deleted. Please note, that pictures used in virtual diaries cannot be displayed after deleting them.

 

You can also delete multiple pictures at once, by clicking “delete multiple entries” and check the boxes of the pictures you want to delete. Subsequently click on “delete selected” next to the “delete multiple entries” field and confirm deletion by clicking “ok”.

 

Editing Virtual Diaries:

 

You can access the Virtual Diaries edit mode on two ways. By clicking on the Virtual Diary in your Virtual Diary Archive you will be taken to the “read diary” page. This page presents you with the two options to either “edit diary” or “delete diary”. When choosing edit diary you can change the virtual diaries’ title/give your virtual diary a title (strongly recommend), assign a folder/to a new folder or create a new one as well as (re-)assign a 4u-key (receiver). Subsequently click on “change diary” to safe the changes. If a new 4u-key has been assigned, the respective receiver will be notified by email that a new Virtual Diary has been made available for him.

 

Furthermore, you have the possibility of deleting the respective picture when in editing mode. Merely click “delete” and confirm deletion by clicking “yes” again and the respective Virtual Diary will be deleted. Pictures deleted in a Virtual Diary are still available in your “My Picture Archive”.

 

Note: Virtual Diaries can also be edited during the creation- and upload process. For more information on this subject, please see Uploading content (Videos, Pictures, MVD’s).

 

 

Viewing Content

 

After successful log-in you can view content by firstly clicking the tab Main Menu, then go to My Videos /-Pictures/-Virtual Diary and subsequently, by clicking the respective Video-/Picture- or Virtual Diary Archive. On the left hand side you can see your sent videos/pictures/virtual diaries. On the right hand side of the page you can see received videos/pictures/virtual diaries which were sent to you by your 4u-users. Just click on the content you would like to see and the content will be displayed in its intended size on your screen.

 

Clicking a video in your Video Archive will forward you to the video detail page. Here you have various options. By clicking the video again, you will be able to view the video.  You can also either edit or delete your video. Clicking “edit video” will forward you to the “video edit” page where you can take the previously described actions (for more information on this subject, please see Editing Content.

 

Under the paragraph titled Description you are able to see whether the video you are about to watch has been posted as an answer to an already uploaded video or if the video uploader added a video description. Furthermore, video sender as well as receiver may start a conversation via the commentary feature (Note: you are notified of new comments added to a video by checking the activities menu on the right hand side of the home screen).

 

You may also upload your video in the traditional sense (for more information on this subject, please see Uploading content (Videos, Pictures, MVD’s, or upload a video as a direct answer to an already existing video. By using this feature the text “this video is an answer to the video title” will be added to your uploaded video. By clicking directly on the video title the receiver may easily look at the video without having to search for it. By clicking “save file”, the video will be uploaded into your imthere4u archive and will be available for the intended receiver.

 

Delete any video by choosing delete video on the Video Detail page. Just click “Yes” and confirm that you want to delete the respective entry.

 

 

Video Search

 

Videos which are uploaded via the paid subscription plans  imthere4u 4sure and imthere4u 4ever can be equipped with tags, identity check and security question which in turn can be used by the intended video receiver to search for the video. For more information on tags and the upload process, please see Uploading content (Videos, Pictures, MVD’s as well as Security Levels (Matching Process). After clicking Video Search in the Menu Bar, one can search by means of the previously described tags name, last name, date of birth and place of birth if a video has been uploaded and equipped with the corresponding tags. Please note, that only the first three letters of the name and last name of the intended video receiver are required. If the tags match, the identity check and a security question have to be answered correctly in order to match both parties successfully. If all levels of the matching process are successful, the intended receiver will see how many videos are waiting on him on imthere4u.  

 

 

Commentaries

 

On imthere4u, commentaries are used as another means of communication between the 4me- and 4u-user. After clicking the respective video in your video archive, the 4me- and 4u-user can start a conversation by posting whatever comes to mind in the Video Detail section under Commentaries. (Note: you are notified of new comments added to a video by checking the activities menu on the right hand side of the home screen).

 

Sorting Content (Videos, Pictures, MVD)

 

imthere4u gives you two possibilities to sort your content.

 

1. While uploading content you can create folders as well as 4u-keys in order to sort and share your content without any trouble. As previously mentioned, after successful log-in you can upload your content by firstly clicking the tab Main Menu, then go to My Videos /-Pictures/-Virtual Diary and subsequently, by clicking upload video-/picture or create diary respectively. Subsequently, click “browse”, select the respective files in your computer and click “Upload file” and accept the general terms and conditions by checking the box (you can also get to Edit Video page by clicking Video Archive/subsequent selection of the editable content/Edit video). Thereupon, the Edit Video page will open, where you can enter tags, identity check and security question. Here you can either assign the video/picture/MVD to an existing folder by choosing a folder within the dropdown menu or simply create a new one by clicking create folder.

 

2. After successful log-in you can assign your content to a folder by clicking Manage Folder after clicking My Videos /-Pictures/-Virtual Diary in the Main Menu. Creating a folder is pretty much self explanatory. Merely enter the desired folder name into the respective field and click “create”. The folder is now added to the dropdown menu on the Video Edit page and is now ready to be used. On the Manage Folder page, you can also delete existing folders.   

 

 

Setting a Release Date (Videos)

 

After successful log-in you can upload your content by firstly clicking the tab Main Menu, then go to My Videos /-Pictures/-Virtual Diary and subsequently, by clicking upload video-/picture or create diary respectively. With our release date feature you can publish a video on any future date of your choosing. If you want to publish the uploaded video right away, just select the current date as release date. If you want to publish the video on a later date, just select the respective date using the date picker. Your 4u-User will be notified by email on the date the video is published.

imthere4u-Glossary

Here we will explain imthere4u terminology which we use throughout our various portals. For more information on any particular term, please review the respective paragraphs.   

 

DCT: Is an abbreviation for digital content thread which is conversation thread using digital content.

Identity Check: Is next to the tags a security measure which is supposed to prevent a positive matching of two unfamiliar persons. Our identity check consists of the mother’s maiden name and the last name of the father.

Matching: Is the process of matching tags, identity check and security question. It Is only relevant if a person has no contact with the intended video receiver and wants to establish it via imthere4u. If the video sender’s queries are answered correctly by the intended video receiver, contact will be established.   

MVD: My Virtual Diary is the imthere4u diary feature, also known as mini-blogg.

Security Question: Is next to the tags and identity check a security measure which is supposed to prevent a positive matching of two unfamiliar persons. During the uploading process the video sender is asked to enter a question, which can only be answered by the intended video receiver (e.g. child, friend, girlfriend).

Tag: Tags are additional information which are added to the video. Only by means of tags can a video be found on imthere4u (if necessary).

4u-Key: The 4u-Key is the username which grants the 4u-User access to his own account, which was set up by the 4me-User in order to share digital content. The 4u-Key is created and managed by the 4me-User. The 4u-Key serves alongside the password as login data. The 4u-Key is a unique identifier of the 4u-User and cannot be changed.    

4me-User: The initial video sender. The 4me-User has complete access to his imthere4u account. He can set up 4u accounts for his 4u-Users in order to communicate either through uploaded content or the messaging feature. 

4u-User: The initial intended video receiver, recipient of uploaded digital content. Through the 4u-Account the 4u-User has access to his own account, which was set up by the 4me-User in order to share digital content. The 4u-User communicates with the 4me-User either through uploaded content (establishing dct’s) or by our messaging feature.

 

Upload speed

 

How long it takes to upload a video is contingent upon two factors.

 

1. The size of the file you wish to upload (Video, Picture, MVD)

2. The bandwidth of your internet connection

Depending upon file size and bandwidth the upload may take a few minutes (a few MB) up to hours (GB).
